Ankle & Foot
There are many conditions that may cause instability, improper biomechanics, or even loss of function of the foot and ankle. This can cause an increased risk of falls, with the possibility of a serious injury to other body parts.
While some foot and ankle braces are used to help realign and create stability allowing you to walk with less effort and more safely, others are designed to restrict motion and to allow healing.
There are multiple ankle and foot bracing options available, from prefabricated to custom depending on your condition. Your orthotist will work with you to find the appropriate orthosis that is not only appropriate for your condition but your lifestyle as well.
Knee
Knee pain or injury is common to experience at some point in time in your life. Bracing may be the right option for you. There are many different types of knee braces designed for treatment and relief of knee pain and joint instability. This can be caused by a variety of diagnoses such as osteoarthritis, Meniscal tears, or ligament damage. There are knee braces that can be used for postoperative stabilization, acute care, and for return to activities to attempt to prevent common reinjuries.
Being that the human knee is a very involved joint, the injuries you may experience can be complicated to understand and treat. ACL, MCL, and PCL (ligament) injuries, as well as osteoarthritis, meniscal tears and sprains are the most common types of injuries that benefit from knee bracing.
There are a wide variety of knee braces that are specifically designed to aid in treatment of knee injuries and pain. The most common types of bracing include, but are not limited to; ligament injury bracing, postoperative bracing, hinged and nonhinged bracing, neoprene and patella sleeves, and osteoarthritis bracing. Hip
A Hip orthosis may be needed to limit motion, help stabilize or allow healing due to hip dislocation, subluxation, fracture, or post operative management.
These conditions can affect the hip joint, thigh, and even the capability of holding up the weight of your body. Most of the time causing pain, discomfort, or a reduced range of motion, making it very hard to continue with your daily activities.
Hip Orthoses are designed to be adjustable and allow some movement, but also maintain needed alignment allowing for ligaments, muscles, and bones to heal.
Your orthotist, and physician will work together to choose the orthosis that is appropriate for your condition.
Spine
Spinal orthoses such as cervical, thoracic, and lumbar braces, are used to allow healing due to injury, post operative stabilization, or even pain reduction by restricting motion to the spine.
This is accomplished by immobilizing and supporting the neck or spine in proper alignment and providing support while the body heals.
Your Orthotist will make sure you are fit with the orthosis that is appropriate for the level of support required for your condition.

Upper Extremity
We offer a variation of upper extremity orthoses. They can be beneficial in treatment of instability, fractures, and for postoperative needs.
Positional bracing for contractures, malalignment, and poor range of motion can be something your physician may consider using in your treatment. These orthoses are especially helpful if you are undergoing occupational or physical therapy.
An Orthosis or immobilizer is often required after a surgery or injury to assist in proper healing by restricting or limiting motion. The orthosis recommended will be based on the surgical procedure or injury you have obtained, avoiding undesirable motion at the site of the injury. The orthosis is usually placed above and below the injury or surgical site to provide proper stabilization.
Your orthotist will work with you physician to provide the appropriate orthotic device for you.
Head & Face
We offer specialty orthoses for head protection such as protective helmets, and custom face masks.
Protective helmets are used to help prevent injury, reinjury, or for post operative protection to allow for healing.
Custom Face Masks
A custom-molded facemask is a clear orthosis designed from a mold of the patient’s face and fit directly against the skin. Offloading for example a fractured nose, protecting from reinjury, and allowing the fracture to heal while still being able to engage in normal activities and sports.
Our masks are made from polycarbonate plastic, that is incredibly strong and fracture resistant.
